The Spread Eagle Hotel, dating back to 1430, is a charming historical, English inn retaining its heritage while providing every contemporary comfort. Set in the heart of the South Downs National Park and pretty market town of Midhurst, West Sussex, it's surrounded by one-and-a-half acres of grounds including gardens, lawns and a convenient car park.

Ceremonies take place in the King Edward VII Suite in the oldest part of the building. It boasts beamed walls and ceiling plus an open fireplace. It accommodates up to 30 nearest and dearest.

The original coach house and stables now joined to the Hotel, have become the magnificent Jacobean Hall with natural stone walls, heraldic banners and minstrel gallery. Here you can host a ceremony witnessed by 80 loved ones. The Hall can also play host to your reception for up to 100 guests, and it has its own bar and double doors leading out onto the Jacobean Garden.

The Hotel can be booked for exclusive use for a real sense of history and occasion. You're treated to a menu tasting ahead of the big day, featuring delicious and locally-sourced cuisine. When booking the Hotel on an exclusive-use basis, you'll also receive a complimentary one-night stay on your first anniversary on a bed and breakfast basis.
