Walk yourself happy with Julia Bradbury at South Lodge this September

Country house spa hotel South Lodge has announced a partnership with celebrated TV presenter, journalist, author and nature evangelist Julia Bradbury to host a two-day wellness retreat on 23th-24th September 2024. 

The Walk Yourself Happy Retreats provide an opportunity to experience the health-changing power of the Walk Yourself Happy philosophy with Julia Bradbury in person. Chapters of The Sunday Times bestseller book will be brought to life through a blend of expert-led sessions, engaging group conversations, and revitalising nature-based activities that will energise the body and feed the soul.

Julia Bradbury says, "I wanted to bring together a group of experts who had been so transformative in my own personal journey and, together with them, lead others through a series of life-changing, well-being practices in a focused two-day retreat. I am thrilled to bring my retreat to South Lodge, known for its tranquil ambience and located in the breathtaking beauty of West Sussex. I know that the guests at our retreats will feel truly energised by spending time doing breathwork, aroma-sound, forest bathing, nutrition work and, of course, going on a nature walk with me."

Set within 92 acres of West Sussex countryside overlooking the South Downs, nature is the source of inspiration at South Lodge and offers guests the chance to disconnect. For the first time, walkers, lovers of nature and those looking to enhance their overall health can embark on a transformative journey alongside Julia Bradbury at the countryside hotel.

Participants are invited to join a series of in-person sessions with experts, including international breathwork practitioner and Oxygen Advantage® founder Patrick McKeown; rest, reconnect and restore with holistic practitioner Lisa Pauley with AromaSounds sessions; and reignite a deep connection to nature, unlocking the freedom of movement with Wildfitness professional and CEO Hannah Beadle.

Complementing the two-day Walk Yourself Happy Reset Retreat, a curated menu by renowned nutritionist Pauline Cox will provide guests with a selection of balanced, nutritionally rich dishes throughout their stay. To further enable participants to continue their wellness journeys once home, each will receive a gifted ‘Walk Yourself Happy’ journalling notebook complete with Bradbury’s personal techniques, tips and takeaways.

Designed as a serene and intimate experience, the retreat is available to just 25 attendees. It provides a unique setting and fosters a sense of camaraderie and shared commitment to personal growth and well-being.

The transformational experience will connect guests to the power of the mind and the natural world, while enjoying the comforts of South Lodge. Participants will have access to the extensive 44,000 sq. ft spa overlooking the South Downs, designed to complement the natural landscape helping guests to be naturally themselves. With a state-of-the-art gym and spin studio; indoor infinity pool; outdoor hydrotherapy pool and wild swimming pool and lake; thermal suites; a whole range of spa treatments; as well as the Ridgeview Beauty Bar, where manicures and pedicures can be perfectly paired with a glass of Ridgeview’s sparkling wine on tap.  

The two-day Walk Yourself Happy Retreat at South Lodge is priced at £1,650 per person. Price includes full Walk Yourself Happy programme itinerary, an overnight stay in a Cosy/Cubby room on bed and breakfast and nutritional dining included.
