New research conducted by ethical jewellery brand Sacet has revealed the top country wedding venues across the UK that would make the perfect location for an autumnal ceremony.
By analysing a number of factors (including guest capacity, number of reviews, professionalism, quality of service and value for money) of over 30 wedding venues that offer barn, country and forest-style weddings in the UK, the top 10 were revealed.
Brinsop Court Manor House and Barn, in Hereford, has been crowned the overall winner, with top ratings across all factors (quality of service, response time, professionalism, value for money flexibility and average rating). It also had the most number of reviews and can hold between 30 to 250 guests.
In second place was Stanford Farm, based in Shrewsbury, which can cater to up to 200 guests, with prices starting from £2,950. This came joint second with another Hereford venue, Bredenbury Court Barns, which boasts a rustic decor, seating up to 200 people and has 41 reviews.
In third place, we have The Woodlands, based in Lutterworth, in Leicestershire, which had 24 reviews and top ratings for quality of service, professionalism and value for money. With options for outdoor or indoor ceremonies, its wooden decor makes for the perfect rustic wedding in autumn.
Other venues that made the top 10 best country wedding venue list include Oaktree Farm in Newark, Pencarrow in Bodmin and Colehayes Park in Ashburton.
Guests Spend £348 On Average to Attend A Wedding, Says Expert
Wedding guests across the UK are spending hundreds of pounds just to attend a single wedding, with new research revealing the growing financial strain placed on friends and family. Research* commissioned by The Insurance Emporium, conducted by Censuswide, has revealed among people who have attended a wedding in the last five years shows that guests spend £348 on average to attend a wedding - with costs rising even higher in major cities. The wedding insurance specialist's findings reveal that 72% of guests now say attending weddings has become a financial burden, while 38.2% admit they have felt pressured to overspend in order to attend.
