If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, Tilgate Park could be the wedding venue for you. Available all year round, this rural bliss boasts more than 200 acres of natural backdrop for your big day. The Peace Garden bridge, pinetum, ancient woodlands and lakes are all there to be enjoyed and utilised in those all important photographs.

The "I dos"
The Walled Garden lies at the heart of the park where generations of visitors have enjoyed the formally-planted gardens displaying an array of colour and fragrance. As you step inside, the aisle leads you into what feels like a secret garden, where you’ll be surrounded by shrubs and flower beds, luscious green lawns and a wooden arbour. The Wedding Garden can host 100 loved ones for your “I dos.” If weather conditions are less favourable the spacious and versatile barn is a great alternative. It can accommodate 80 seated or 100 standing.

The celebrations
A 40-metre-long pergola adorned in wisteria, roses, clematis and grape vines leads you through to the Arena, which is home to wedding breakfasts and receptions with its large marquee. Fully-lined with ivory drapes, the marquee also boasts chandeliers and hundreds of fairylights and can accommodate up to 200 guests. Outside the Arena provides ample room for entertainment such as garden games, a mobile bar or caterer.

Alternatively, The Barn can seat 80 for the wedding breakfast with a capacity of 150 standing for the evening with an additional enclosed garden. It sits alongside the Wedding Garden and maze.

Plus...
There’s also a golf course on site, while adrenaline seekers can enjoy tree- top adventures and forest segways provided by Go Ape. Animal lovers can even book an experience at the Nature Centre with meerkats and goats.

The relationship came out ahead of travel and accommodation costs (38%) and paying for a hen or stag do (28%) when it comes to factors influencing how much guests are prepared to spend. For those closest to them, Brits consider an average of £77 per person to be an acceptable wedding gift. The most popular amount was between £50 and £100, selected by 43% of respondents, while 36% believe spending up to £50 is perfectly acceptable. Just 5% would spend more than £200.
