Hidden away in the folds of the South Downs rolling hill landscape you’ll find Lordington Park, a rural retreat recently renovated, where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of life by immersing themselves in the tranquil natural beauty this stunning country house has to offer.
Following an evening of festivities, which saw Lordington Park open it’s doors to the local community, this exciting venue with it’s new lease of life also launched its brand new website, created by a local company, where guests can book their stay direct.
Back in December, dozens of local farmers, families and business owners were invited to discover first-hand what this 14-bedroom dog friendly boutique B&B plus, three idyllic selfcatering cottages, has to offer also giving a real taste for what’s to come at Lordington Park in the future.
Picture being surrounded by horses grazing peacefully in the fields surrounding the house and sheep grazing in the field as you meander up the drive. Situated a stones throw away from the popular Lordington Lavender fields and located just a short drive outside of local hives Chichester and Havant, Lordington Park is nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Lordington. With a wealth of of walks, cycling routes, local pubs serving delicious food and popular destinations such as Goodwood Racecourse and Motor circuit, the bustling historic Sussex Market town of Midhurst and Cowdray Park as well as the famous West Wittering Beach all just short drives away, this really is the perfect base for an ultimate country escape.
Family owned and managed, Lordington Park is intrinsically connected to the local community. Passionate about supporting local farmers and businesses where possible, you can expect much of your delicious breakfast to be locally produced, including bacon from Adsdean less than 2 miles away, sausages from Treagust Butchers who have served the local community since 1924, Lordington eggs which are from the family’s own rescue hens and hand grown delicious, tomatoes.
The family say, “Introduced to the family in 1984, three generations of our family have called Lordington Park home, and now we are opening our doors to you, we welcome muddy boots and worn jackets after a good adventure in the countryside here! The decision to create a boutique bed and breakfast here, allowed us to breathe a new lease of life into our family home and was a natural progression for us. Not only does the launch of the B&B give the house a new purpose, but it allows us to preserve it, keeping it in our family for years to come.”
Lordington Park already has a bright future ahead as a luxury, leading independent B&B with weddings confirmed for 2024, exclusive hires confirmed for the renowned Goodwood event season and the return of its popular intimate supper club.
The enchanting beauty of Lordington Park really needs to be seen to be believed. Hunker down by the comforting crackle of the fire after a morning of exploring one of our recommended walks or enjoy the breathtaking night sky above you made magical with the little light pollution around us, there is so much slow-living to embrace experience here at Lordington Park.

Women want a personal engagement ring not an expensive one
New research suggests a shift in how women approach one of the most traditional luxury jewellery purchases, with 75% saying they want an engagement ring to prioritise personal meaning over size or value. A study of 1,353 UK women carried out by 77 Diamonds* found that 75% say they would prioritise a personalised engagement ring over a larger or more expensive diamond. What seems to stand out is not a complete rejection of convention, but rather a rebalancing and reassessment of value. 59% of women say their preference still leans towards traditional ready-made ring designs, and only 11% want an entirely custom-made piece But the emotional drive behind preferences and purchasing decisions does appear to be changing with 30% expressing a desire for rings that carry additional meaning through small modifications, engravings or design adjustments.
