Firstly, I hope all of our readers have been keeping well during this surreal, unprecedented time. It would be hard for me to not mention the dreaded c-word, however, I admire how everyone, no matter how badly they have been effected, has come together to help and support one another. The tide will start turning, and we can all begin to re-plan cancelled weddings, re-book honeymoons and get back to our wonderful world of weddings – supporting local couples and businesses finding their feet again!
As your self-appointed BFF for all things wedding, we’ve got everything you need to plan your big day with confidence and aplomb from start to finish. So, if you’re newly engaged and about to set out on the hunt for your perfect venue, help is at hand with our roundup of local historical locations, and North Sussex hotspots. Crowne Plaza Felbridge - Gatwick
Having undergone a £3.2 million hotel-wide refurbishment, the hotel’s facilities are modern, luxurious and elegant. Its charming exterior adds to the wow-factor when you discover what awaits you inside. Built in the 1920s, it combines the ideal balance of the traditional with a stylish modern twist.
The Crowne Plaza Felbridge is conveniently located on the border of Sussex and Surrey, just 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport, but still surrounded by beautiful Sussex countryside. At the hotel’s centre you’ll find a manicured courtyard garden, gorgeous for enjoying arrival drinks, canapés and snapping some photos.
The Grand Ballroom is quite simply stunning with its beautiful chandeliers, and is great for larger wedding celebrations. It can happily accommodate 400 guests for the vows, 350 for a wedding breakfast, and 500 for the evening bash. For more intimate “I dos,” on the other hand, the Treo Suite, overlooking the courtyard garden, can host up to 100 for ceremonies and 80 diners. Both spaces boast their own receptions and private bars.
Wedding guests will be offered preferential rates on accommodation, and you’ll be welcomed back to the venue again for a first-anniversary stay.
