The Cedar Roof Barn

The Cedar Roof Barn is a rustic wedding venue tucked away among rolling fields just outside the picturesque town of Lewes near Uckfield, East Sussex. Built with love in 2018, this beautiful barn facility sits on acres of green land in the heart of the countryside. Chickens, sheep and horses graze on the flourishing pastures, creating an authentic farmland atmosphere. If you’ve always wanted to celebrate your big day in the country, you’ll adore this charming venue.

Here, you can mark your milestone occasion with up to 120 loved ones. The custom-built oak and cedar barn is available for exclusive use, allowing you and your guests to relax in peace. With large windows and timber beams, this indoor space is made for both dining and dancing. While outdoors you’ll find plenty of lovely spots to take photos, chat with your nearest and dearest, and inhale the clean country air. You can also make the most of the space by playing outdoor games such as table tennis and giant Jenga. If you want to go all out, you can even use hay bales as an alternative to traditional seating.

The venue doesn’t currently hold a civil ceremony licence, but blessings can take plan on the lawn outside the barn, or inside it if the weather isn’t favourable.

Various services are available at The Cedar Roof Barn, including sound and lighting equipment, tables and chairs, delivery and set up, and much more. As a DIY venue, you’re free to choose your caterers and suppliers for the day without corkage fees or any other tie-ins. Should you need help finding suppliers, the staff here will be happy to share a list of approved businesses from the local area. Overnight accommodation can be found nearby and parking facilities are also available if you want to stay over.

A third of Brits decline wedding invites due to cost Klarna finds

The wedding season is just around the corner! What is normally a cause for joy can often become a financial strain for guests. Travel, outfits, gifts – the costs can quickly soar to unexpected heights. This is also confirmed by a recent survey by Klarna*, the flexible choice for smart, secure payments: One third (36.4%) of those surveyed said they had declined wedding invitations in the past due to associated costs. Moreover, 30.2% of respondents said they have not attended a Stag or Hen party due to the expenses involved.
