My editor’s letter this issue should carry a warning. I’m more than a little bit excited that Christmas is on the horizon and we’ve approached the time of year where my fever pitch obsession with it starts to get unbearable. Just ask the rest of the CWM team! As a Christian it’s not really about the presents for me, although if someone were kind enough to pop a little something under the tree I wouldn’t complain. No, it’s the reason for the season and the joy it brings. That’s why I absolutely adore it when couples choose this time of love to express their own and make their commitment to each other. Like real wedding couple Holly and Josh who said “I do” on 22nd December. Find out more about their day on page 53.
That’s not all – you’ll also find a roundup of cosy winter wonderland venues over on page 29, and have we got some beautifully festive shoots for you! Turn to pages 64 and 105 for your winter wedspiration.
We absolutely love the variety of backdrops our gorgeous county provides, from the iconic urban to the breathtaking rural. We talked to local photographers to find out how to make the most of these timeless vistas in your wedding shots. Flick to page 73 for our pick of these jaw-dropping images.

Brookfield Barn
This all-weather venue offers a spacious, contemporary bar and lounge area inside the adjoining country house leading through to the light and airy barn. Upstairs there’s a bridal suite, six further bedrooms and a prep room for the bride squad.
The beauty of this venue is that it’s styled in a way that doesn’t need a lot of decoration, but if you do want to put your own stamp on it, the neutral scheme lends itself to any palette. There’s a large terrace at the back of the bar with a covered seating area and tables, which can double up as firepits for guests to use at night – perfect for melted marshmallows!
The barn’s idyllic position off of a West Sussex country lane affords stunning panoramic views across the lake and wider grounds including a nine-hole golf course.
