Investment deal set to shake up the stag and hen industry

Brighton-based tour operator The Stag Company has announced an exciting investment deal whereby Danish travel company Awesome Adventures Group has secured a significant shareholding in the company. The partnership will facilitate growth for both businesses within the stag and hen market, acting as a springboard for more competitive pricing and product portfolio expansion.

The deal positions Awesome Adventures as the go-to ground agent for The Stag Company customers, which means they will be welcomed into resort via an infrastructure of teams in location, thereby elevating the customer experience. Awesome Adventures has multiple satellite offices across Europe, including long-standing hubs in Prague and Budapest, established bases in Poland and Germany, and a network of knowledgeable tour guides spread across 11 locations.

Both companies were built on the foundation of customer service excellence and have been organising pre-nuptial packages for groups of friends for over 20 years. Via the deal, Awesome Adventures co-founders, Rasmus Aarup Christiansen and Mads Thorsdal, become members of The Stag Company Board alongside CEO, Robert Hill, CTO, Patrick Heath and COO, Stephanie Hague-Evans. Between them, the five directors share a collective experience of 80+ years within the group travel industry, so are confident they will become a driving force behind positive change for the sector.

Rob Hill shares: "It's great that we've been able to pull together two giants of the stag and hen world to form a partnership that will supercharge growth for both businesses. In addition to driving volume to European locations and offering potential for expansion into new markets, we're excited to share ideas and strategic insights, in order to challenge the status quo within group travel."

Rasmus Aarup Christiansen explains: "Via this exciting partnership, we will be in a position to offer our mutual customers the best available prices without compromising on quality, and with the added peace of mind that there's a team of people waiting in resort to ensure an exceptional experience from arrival to departure."

The British Wedding Tradition Most Guests Never Question

Most wedding guests have heard the phrase "wedding breakfast", but very few stop to question it. After all, the meal is rarely served in the morning. It usually comes after the ceremony, often in the afternoon, and can involve anything from a formal three-course dinner to sharing boards, canapes, grazing tables and dessert stations. So why do we still call it a breakfast? According to Nick from Country House Weddings, the answer goes back centuries and is tied to religion, fasting and the way weddings were once celebrated in Britain. Breaking A Very Specific Fast The word "breakfast" does not originally mean a morning meal. It simply means breaking a fast.
