From quaint fishing villages and traditional seaside piers, the UK coastline has something for everyone. Come winter and with most of the tourists gone for the season, calm descends on the famous West Sussex coastline in the village of Felpham, and guests of the Beachcroft Beach Hut Suites may even find they’re lucky enough to have the entire beach to themselves.
The recently refurbished beach hut suites effortlessly combine British seaside holiday with the luxuries of contemporary living. With beach access from the door, guests can wrap up warm and head along the coast for a bracing winter walk. Champagne picnic hampers can also be arranged for guests, along with freshly prepared and boxed-up fish and chips, to enjoy on their terrace or back in their suite. The suites are also dog friendly and offer complimentary mountain bikes for two-wheel exploring.
Situated on a scenic seven-mile coastline that is famed for its incredible sunrises and sunsets, winter is the best time to see the stunning celestial light shows as they take on richer colours of pink, yellow, orange and deep reds. If the weather becomes too unpredictable, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy.
Activities Beachcombing for treasures or shell picking. There’s a bucket, spade and fishing net included in the kids’ room so families can head out stone-collecting or rock pooling. The area is also a great bird watching (Black-tailed Godwits, Brent Geese, Little Egrets, Little Turns and Pintails) and the neighbouring Pagham Harbour biological and geological site is one of the best places locally to see birds. Dolphins have also been spotted close to the shoreline. Adult bicycles provided for guests of the Suites.
