Laughton Barns & Gote Barn

Laughton Barns Wedding Venue is set in the heart of Sussex, nestling against the South Downs, are 80 acres of lush greenery that envelop Laughton Barns. There are four picturesque ponds for the all-important photos, and not a telegraph pole or overhead wire in sight. The Crown barn, which offers seating for up to 250 guests, has been traditionally built using local Oak, brick and stone. The barn is rustic with exposed beams and gothic style chandeliers. On a beautiful sunny day, one entire side of the barn can be opened to give your wedding day an outdoors and very rural feel. New for 2012, the front on the barn has been replaced with bi-folding French doors, a new paved area outside the barn and planted willow trees have brought this area to life. The Hovel is a small barn that you can use to have your civil ceremony outside in the open or inside with the new addition of a marquee for the unpredictable weather. We provide a PA system so the ceremony to allow all your guests to hear those important wedding vows. After the ceremony you can stroll through the green fields to your Drinks reception waiting for you at the location of your choice.
Working with your event organiser, it's up to you which elements of the grounds you choose to use as the backdrop to your event. If you are looking for a romantic but rural wedding venue, then we would highly recommend viewing this venue.

Gote Barn is perfect for a beautiful countryside wedding, with the barns rustic and original charm as the background for your big day, the venue has a capacity for up to 180 seated guests for the day and up to 250 in the evening. With a lawn for drinks & canapes, and the option to add a stretch tent for rain cover or shade, the barn is perfect if you are looking for a venue to personalise and bring to life once again!
The venue runs from May-October each year and has a minimum daytime requirement of 80 guests.
Venue Hire includes round tables & Classic Gold chairs, brand new toilet building, wooden bar, raised stage, car parking facilities, outdoor drinks reception space including Stretch Tent for shelter / shade, and fairy lights decoration. At the moment we do not have a license for ceremonies at the venue but there are a number of local ceremony venues we can recommend.
This venue is really special and you'll have exclusive hire and the chance to hold your wedding at a really unique and charming venue!

We have an incredibly diverse and creative set of menus, and with a wealth of experience in cuisines from all over the world, we can make the food on your special day be truly memorable for you and your guests. From our traditional Three Course & Canapé Menu, with delights such as our favourite Handmade Glyn Thomas Scotch Egg, Piccalilli Pot & Beetroot Salad, to our stunning Lancing Mess, with locally sourced cream and popping candy surprise! We have have funky street food vans, and a Wood-fired Pizza Oven if you want to do something a little different...

We focus entirely on what you want from the food at your event. Our chefs have over 20 years experience in the catering industry, including Michelin and Rosette standard restaurants. Circa Events deliver food of exceptional quality for parties and events throughout Sussex. We use local suppliers and as many free range and organic products as possible from in and around Sussex. You'll be guided by our expert Wedding Coordinators, who will help you plan your special day from start to finish.

Wedding Marquees & Tents

Circa Events Capri Marquees

The Party Marquee is the most distinctive and affordable party marquees currently available. Its modern, spacious design eliminates ropes and guy lines. Best of all, its sweeping design is dramatically different from traditional tents. It is a marquee your family and guests will remember and comment on for a long time after the event.
The party marquee can seat up to 80 people or 100 people standing. For a larger party, two marquees can be linked together to seat up to 160 guests.
As you can never rely on the good old English weather, we can supply marquees with sidewalls.
Traditional marquees can also be supplied in various sizes with lining, lights, flooring and staging. Please ask for more details.
