Joined in love and faith by the father-of-the-bride, Emma and John's Christmas-themed nuptials involved their loved ones every step of the way.
Married on 2nd December 2017, Emma and John initially met on internet dating site, Christian Connection.
“I chose cream, red and pink roses, with eucalyptus and green foliage for my bouquet.” – Emma
John's buttonhole complemented the bouquet with a single red rose and ribbon to match.
Emma's hair was swept into a loose, wavy chignon with delicate white blooms and winter foliage.
The soft glow of candlelight, with Christmas trees draped in twinkling lights created a romantic festive atmosphere as the pair spoke their vows at the alter.
“John wore a grey, tweed-like three-piece-suit with black brogues, offset with a burgundy tie to fit the colour scheme. The groomsmen were dressed to match,” – Emma
“Our cake was a semi-naked victoria sponge embellished with fresh berries, baked by Charlene Price, my bridesmaid.” – Emma
“Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, there is so much inspiration to be drawn from it. Our colour scheme and whole feel for the day were directly linked to the festive season,” – Emma
Both having a strong faith the couple made sure God was at the heart of their marriage and incorporated pertinent bible verses in their ceremony venue décor.
“I was fine until the music started to indicate Emma had arrived. At this point my best man and I started to choke up. We tried to compose ourselves, but he did a better job than me!” – John
“The ceremony was the highlight for both of us. Every part of it was so personal. One bridesmaid made our cake, the other was the photographer, another led the worship and my dad married us. Our faith is important to us and our church community were involved every step of the way,” – Emma
“My bridesmaids wore mink dresses in various styles to complement their shape. Choosing the colour was the hardest part, but I always knew I wanted to give them the freedom to choose the cut they would feel most comfortable in,” – Emma
“We didn't have a table plan as we wanted a relaxed party feel with open seating and a hog roast,” – Emma
“The wedding coordinator at Bailiffscourt, Mariana, really took on board our theme and needs for the evening. She was so helpful in the planning stages and the food was delicious!” – Emma
“Timescales were incredibly tight on the big day, so our photographer and bridesmaid, Fiona, recommended we have a newlywed shoot after our honeymoon to capture the portraits that we couldn't on the day,” – Emma
