This collabroation between Kent and Sussex suppliers showcases the gorgeous Tonbridge School
Located close to the Kent/Sussex border Charlotte and Callum from C&C Imagery decided to put together a shoot featuring the work of fabulous local suppliers from both counties. Showcasing the stunning Tonbridge School and its glorious grounds, the team set about creating two shoots together; one with a warm winter boho feel, capturing the last of the snow, and the other Hollywood glam inspired.

Scent My Wedding is offering readers an exclusive discount
Scent My Wedding was started by two best friends, Holly and Sara. Based on a love of home fragrance and styling, the two female entrepreneurs saw a gap in the wedding market while planning Sara's wedding. They already own a successful home fragrance business and saw this as a natural extension to what they already do.
Scent My Wedding offers a bespoke venue-scenting service where you can have your favourite or chosen scent discreetly diffused throughout your entire day via a powerful diffuser unit or a series of beautiful candles and reed diffusers.

Honeymooning in your married name
If you are dreaming of jetting off to sandy shores with your sparkling new ring, spouse and matching passports...then this guide from NameSwitch will tell you how to make your dreams come true. Please do have a proper think about whether having matching passports straight away is really that important to you because, trust us when we say, it's not an easy thing to pull off! With recent changes to how processes work, effects of the Pandemic, and added complications like not being handed your marriage certificate on your wedding day, or needing the name on your NHS records to be the same as the one on your passport, an already stressful undertaking just got even more nail-biting! Now it's not mission impossible, but you do need 3 key things to be aligned (and nerves of steel) if this is going to work...

Outdated wedding laws need to change
In an article earlier this year there was discussion and praise aimed towards the Government's plans to allow outdoor weddings to be made permanent. The article also highlighted the eagerly awaited Law Commission report into marriage laws, which was due to be published in July. Now it has been published and we have had some time for the dust to settle, Kate Van Rol, Barrister at 4PB has looked into these recommendations, "Are wedding laws at present 'confusing, outdated and restrictive' as the Commission suggest, or would the implementation of their suggestions trivialise weddings and commercialise the ceremony?". Kate continues...

Here at Your Sussex Wedding, we've heard all about dove releases at weddings and were keen to know more. So, we got in touch with Viv Lambert at Lambert's White Dove Release based in Brighton for the lowdown.
Viv says, "Watching their love and dreams for the future rise and fly free on the wings of a dove is a magical experience for newlyweds, one that will forever be a treasured memory of the day. In addition, at every wedding there are those the couple know will be watching over them, but who can only be with them in spirit.

An urban chic vibe is something you might expect to see most often in an industrial warehouse setting, but this team of local wedding experts set out to blow that theory out of the water with this project. Featuring shades of burgundy and pink tones, they created a romantic atmosphere in the Two Woods Estate ceremony area, dramatically flanked by enormous redwoods. It beautifully showcases the love between its real couple and shows that you can have the best of both worlds. Here are some stunning images that we just couldn't fit into the mag, no matter how hard we tried! If like us you couldn't get enough, sit back and feast your eyes on even more gorgeousness and take a peek behind the scenes.

When Mark Lee from Mark Lee Photography set up this shoot at Cheshire's Park Manor, he wanted to seek out like minded suppliers to collaborate on creating stunning inclusive images; and what better showcase this gorgeous shoot than Pride Month! Mark says, "For months I've been coming across posts on Facebook on issues from the LGBTQ+ community over double standards within the wedding industry. Some finding that they were being charged more or that some suppliers just wouldn't work with a same sex couple. Then a supplier wanted to know how to create a logo for same sex supplier so not to offend. And another supplier unsure how to word his contract... this got me thinking. Why is this so difficult? Why does there need to be an issue regardless of who you are and who you want to marry? The law has changed so why are people still living in the dark ages? It's time to accept everyone."

Photographer and shoot coordinator Amy Davies set out to create a dramatic look for this project. "There are lots of extremes when it comes to the gothic style," she says, but admits that none of them are likely to appeal greatly to a bride who might consider her everyday style somewhat short of alternative. "So, we chose a broadly gothic theme with plenty of smiles and laughter, paired with a soft and light twist," she continues before adding: "It is possible to have a black wedding dress without the black lipstick!"

Local shoot: English Wildflowers
Park House Hotel and Spa provided the perfect location for this quintessentially English picnic complete with scones, tea and cake. Park House Hotel and Spa, Midhurst, is a luxury country-house venue that hosts intimate, exclusive-use weddings in its barn and across the extensive grounds. "We were inspired by its walled garden and immaculate lawns," says shoot coordinator Giulia O'Lorey of Cakes in Bloom. The plan was to highlight the beauty of Sussex while showcasing a wealth of talented local suppliers.
