October/November 2018

Well, hello lovely brides of Sussex and welcome to my very first issue of Your Sussex Wedding magazine! I’m extremely excited to be bringing you the absolute best of what our amazing county has to offer your wedding. We’ve pulled together some of the best products handmade in Sussex, from stationery to bridal wear and bling, go to page 73 for more.

For me the most thrilling part of the planning process is dress shopping! Have a browse through our bridal boutiques special from page 85, where our local experts will talk you through the latest wedding dress trends and vitally, which one might be for you.

Having been a Brownie and a Girl Guide I’m a huge advocate of being prepared! Our Hot Topic experts advise on the most common wedding day pitfalls and crucially, how you can avoid them, ensuring your day runs smoothly.

But before I sign off for this issue, let me tell you a little about myself. Whilst not ruling out the idea that one day my prince will come along, I’m still very much enjoying my singledom. However, make no mistake! I…am…wedding… obsessed! Like a lot of ladies, please tell me I’m not alone, I may have experienced the odd musing on what my big day would be like. So you can imagine the playground Your Kent Wedding has brought to my door! I hope you feel inspired in planning your dream day as you join me across the pages of this issue.

Fontwell Park Racing & Events

Set within 65 acres of beautiful countryside, Fontwell Park offers couples a choice of three gorgeous settings for the big day – the traditional Fontwell House, the versatile and contemporary Premier Suite and the spacious Paddock Suite.

Fontwell House is steeped in character and tradition, with immaculate, scenic gardens providing a stunning backdrop for the day. The racecourse boasts the only ‘figure of eight’ jump course in the country and is available for post-ceremony wedding snaps, showcasing the excitement of the day. Large enough to host 90 loved ones for the nuptials, it can later be extended to hold 110 for the wedding breakfast. A wonderful space for between 40 and a massive 700 friends and family, the Premier Suite exudes style and elegance with impressive views across the racecourse.

Finally, the Paddock Suite, housed within a traditional marquee in the grounds, can easily be transformed to suit reception requirements, unique style and ideas down to the ground. It has capacity for 350 guests for the wedding breakfast and a further 50 can be invited for the evening celebrations. Couples will find the folk at Fontwell to be accommodating and all suite capacities are flexible, so can be discussed with their dedicated wedding coordinator. A free menu tasting is available.
